ALPHABET ENDORSES FRANKIE

 The McHale Report's Managing Editor Scott Steinbeck answered his cell at his office on Washington St. in historical downtown Brownsville.

"Scott! Maclovio!"

What's up, bro?

"I didn't understand today's headline: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ ENDORSES FRANKIE OLIVO. Is it your usual sense of humor at work again?"

There are so many organizations that are endorsing Frankie for the BISD school board, but they all identify themselves with acronyms. I decided that instead of using a separate headline for each endorsement, I decided I would include them in one headline with the entire alphabet.

"I love you, vato. You are always one step ahead of the game. Why the outpouring of support for Frankie?"

Jaime Diez is running on his education. Denise Garza is running on her experience. Unfortunately, for Jaime, he has no experience and Denise has no education.

"And Frankie?"

He has both. He is studying for his Master's at UTRGV and he has been working for State District Judge Elia Cornejo-Lopez for years.

"Makes sense."

In an imperfect world, you are never going to find the perfect candidate.

"Let alone the perfect woman."

At least with a woman, you can fool yourself for a while, but with politicians you should know better.

In history there are events that change the sequence of time, the birth of Jesus Christ the most obvious example. But in communities, nations and the world there are occurrences that will serve as a reference point in the lives of individuals. There is the before and after of the earthquake. JASON MOODY SITS FOR INTERVIEW

Jason "The Jackal" Moody, the new public information officer for the Brownsville Independent School District (BISD), is well-known in political circles. He has advised scores of candidates who, in the end, have usually lost to Rodrigo Moreno's Pink Ape aspirants. At The McHale Report we prefer imaginary interviews to the real thing because they don't take much time and they are more enjoyable to pen because we have more of a penchant for fiction than we do for realism although we mix them on occasion which has made Dr. G.F.
