COVID CABIN FEVER
The words
"angst" and "ennui" come to mind.
You take care of yourself
and your own
and you move on down the line.
I don't waste my time
wondering if there is life after death.
Been there.
Forgot about that.
I'm 69 and I'm doing my best
at taking the familiar path
of one day at a time.
Acquaintances from my generation
are dropping like flies
You take care of yourself
and your own
and you move on down the line.
I don't waste my time
wondering if there is life after death.
Been there.
Forgot about that.
I'm 69 and I'm doing my best
at taking the familiar path
of one day at a time.
Acquaintances from my generation
are dropping like flies
and Coronavirus
hasn't struck close to home yet.
I'm also trying to find a peace,
which isn't an easy task,
particularly with sickness,
dying and death on the horizon.
I do my pushups and play my music.
What else can a person do
except to refrain from asking
too many questions?
which isn't an easy task,
particularly with sickness,
dying and death on the horizon.
I do my pushups and play my music.
What else can a person do
except to refrain from asking
too many questions?
