ENDORSEMENTS

At The McHale Report most of our reporters are ex-educators. We have a collective respect for intelligence enhanced by an education. The BISD Board of Trustee has been undermined by politicos who have been bereft of both intelligence and education.

We could be accused of expressing a bias against stupid people, but we feel these ignorant individuals shouldn't be the role models for our students.

Dr. Polyphemous Pangloss, The McHale Report's medical expert, speculated on the I.Q.s of the trustee candidates. There are five seats available in the November elections and based on the doctor's observations, we have decided to endorse those aspirants with the highest I.Q. according to his cursory assessments.

What are the range of numbers and their significance: 130-144: gifted; 120-129: superior; 110-119: high average; 90-109: average; 80-89: low average; 70-79: borderline retardation.

We asked Dr. Pangloss about the two trustees who are not facing reelection: "Ironically, Dr. Prisci Roca-Tipton and Drue Brown I estimate at 123. Both are blessed with natural intelligence, they are well-educated and as mature women they have experiences that have added to their I.Q.s"

These are The McHale Report's endorsements based on Dr. Pangloss' I.Q. conclusions. We will print our favored candidate in capital letters with the I.Q. of each of the candidates in parenthesis.

Position 2: FRANKIE OLIVO (118); Jaime Diez (116); Denise Garza (88).

Position 3: PHIL COWEN (128); Argelia Miller (108); Jessica Gonzalez (83); Viro Cardenas (78).

Position 5: DANIELLA LOPEZ-VALDEZ (131); Erasmo Castro (113).

Position 6: JOE RODRIGUEZ (123); Marisa Leal (107); Minerva Peña (92).

Position 7: EDDIE GARCIA (119); Carlos Elizondo (92):

As they say when the clock has expired and final score coruscates from the scoreboard: Numbers don't lie.
