FACEBOOK CLOSES MCHALE

Like a husband who is being exiled to the doghouse for the umpteenth because he has chosen to remain with an unreasonable wife and face the consequences of her temper tantrums and petulant personality, Facebook, a platform that still holds an infatuation for us at The McHale Report, has locked the door and refused us entry onto its site for 30 days.

Hell, it's not the first time. In all honesty, it's closer to the tenth time.

"We were cited for the article that follows this announcement," said Scott Steinbeck, The McHale Report's managing editor. "Entitled ODE TO CRITICS (TRUMP IS A PIG)!!! and written last night after an evening of drinking, eating and laughing, Facebook reacted almost immediately to our posting. In the past FB hasn't been so prompt in its responses, so banishment for this article caught us by surprise.

"FB's decision is ironic. Our critics complain that we bash them if they don't share our opinion, which is ludicrous. We are a forum of passionate discussion and we never deny our detractors to take their best shot. In fact, in this article we challenged them to up their game and don't resort to crybaby whimpering as a defense because we are going to counter with our best shots. FB, perhaps intimidated by Trumps threats against Twitter, decided to silence us.

"We live in the Times of Trump and there is no middle ground. We are in the midst of a civil war between the smart people and the stupid people whose outcome will be determined November 3rd after a series of battles and skirmishes. FB, a cowardly organization that is less respectful of First Amendment Rights than Trump and his hordes of haters comprised of racists, religious right hypocrites, reactionaries and rich Republicans, has chosen to scamper into the high grass like a yellow-bellied snake.

"We will not retreat from the headline that Trump is a pig. How can anyone respect or take seriously an imbecile who brags that he can grab women by the private parts and they will submit to his charm, that he can shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and there are good people among the KKK and the Neo-Nazis? We must march forward in our peaceful revolution to reclaim our country. Trump has not made our nation great again. He has done just the opposite. Only during the Great Depression has there been a worse time in the United States. We will fight fearlessly to end his ruthless dictatorship that has led to the death of thousands of our people."
