THE WHOLE

I am finishing the first draft of The Coronavirus Chronicles. It has all the makings of a Tolstoy tome with a Faulkner flair. In order to edit this slam-dump masterpiece, I need to escape Brownsville for a foreign country and rent an apartment in a colonial setting with a balcony and a view of the narrow streets. With COVID limiting my options, I originally planned to go to Coimbra, Portugal, but Western Europe won't allow Americans in their countries.

COVID is also surging throughout Latin America, but the numbers are low in Uruguay. With legalized marijuana and tranquility a characteristic of its people, I'm considering moving to Montevideo the first of the year. Though I have my retirement and my savings, I need contributions to my cause. Then I read about the financing of Pink Ape's Rodrigo Moreno's film The Whole. Noted El Rrun Rrun Publisher Juan Montoya about the undertaking:

"The sale and distribution of the film to Netflix would bring a hefty return ($750,000) to be shared by five investors. Moreno said that the investors were Brownsville Mayor Trey Mendez, $20,000, former Cameron County Judge and Texas Secretary of State Carlos Cascos, $15,000, BISD Trustee Dr. Sylvia Atkinson $30,000, Andy Vera, $5,000, and Moreno, $50,000."

I need $100,000. The Coronavirus Chronicles will easily gross $5 million. Those who lend money to complete this project, I will double their investments. Since Dr. Sylvia Atkinson has serious legal problems and Rodrigo Moreno is trying to make ends meet as he endeavors to finish his movie, I know I can't count on those two, but Mendez, Cascos and Vera have deep pockets and there is nothing like betting the house on a sure thing.

I will be communicating with them shortly. I'm excited.
